Lets just hope that we're getting most of the rain out of the way now and it will be dry for the Classic. Wouldn't that be sweet? ;)

Yeah it was a good weekend..we're getting there slowly but surely.

Asked Jesse and Tim if they were hungry...and that there was deer roast with taters and carrots in the cabin. Next thing I knew I was picking myself up off the ground and wiping the footprints off my back! ;D  What's worse then that...I wasn't first in line for the eats and all they let me was an "ole cold tater". Thought I'd steal a line from Little Jimmy the Dicken's for those of you old enough.  Jesse and Tim needed to eat a good meal to keep their strength up, they'd had a long night of chasing two legged quarry...and were preparing for another night of the same.  ;)

All of a sudden I'm away from Clarksville and find myself severely missing all the fun at Pappy's Place.  It was a real frog strangler down here at Fort Rucker, AL fellas. I got out to shoot and we posted a bunch of pictures at the leather wall.  You should be able to follow this link to see some good wet weather shooting if you like.  I'll be back home on Friday and look forward to getting over to the cabin.

I think I'm the one in need of lessons the way I've been shooting lately. I was reading the shooting section in Bowyers Bible IV, and makes me want to stand five yards from the bale and practice technique for the next several months. Maybe I could get over the flinching and everything else wrong I'm sure I'm doing.

Okay...put your violins away, I'm through whining! :)

My wife called to inform me that the open ceremony and scrimage day for baseball in Montgomery County is Sat. so it looks like I'll be at the ballpark much of the day but I'll try and swing by.  I'm anxious to get to work on my Osage.  I want to shoot it as my selfbow in the Iron Arrow Competition in May.  I don't have long to get her shooting straight.

Looks like a good time as always :). Like them trophies and love that blade! I swear that looks just like an osage tree growing through the roof of the shop???? If it is, better keep the chain saws put away ;D.
