That’s how I like my jerky to Pappy. Totally dehydrated will keep forever. I guess you seemed to kinda like mine to if I remember correctly. Not everyone does, but it’s how my kids and I like it.

The knife turned out sweet.

Thanks for sharing your weekend with us

Yep I remember that BJ at ElmHall and yes I liked it. No DC I don't smoke it, just marinate it for 24 hours and the dehydrator for 10 or 12, check it at about 6 hours and rotate the trays ,set on about 100 degrees. :) when it is getting close I check it ever hour or so until it is how I want it. Then lay it out and let it cool well before I bag it up.  ;) I also slice it pretty thin, maybe 1/8 to a 1/4 or so, even as I can with a knife. ;)

Headed to the cabin for the weekend, looks like rain today so some shop time may be the order of the day. Got a bow started the last few day, a small diameter Osage with great rings and very good ratio , got it almost floor tillered so may cut some nocks today and start the tillering process.
Haven't made a bow for myself in a while and feels good scrapping wood. Hope yall have a good one also. Life is Good. :)

Jeff, have you looked at past Classics in the events section? Lots of pics of the event over quite a few years.

I was talking about the bow he is working on.

but yes I have looked at lots of pictures from past classics.  One of the reasons I want to go so much.

Then I put of some walnut die from walnuts I saved this winter. I had a white all wool sweater that I wasn't every going to wear so decided to die it, turned it a really nice looking gray. I made up about a gallon of nice stain after cooking it off.  :)

Bill got the bow down from 50@27 to 30@25, just right for Linda. My walnut die finished and cooling to be put up. Got my bow off the form and looked pretty good but needed a little more tweaking so I did that in the vice with adjustable wrench/ heat and weights. :)

Shawn and I done some shooting of his new bow and the 2 Mark's stayed hard at their new bow's to be. ;) :) I keep reminding them it's not a bow yet, just a piece of wood so don't fall in love with it, their will be plenty of time for that after it is shooting. A nice fire for Saturday evening and night, it rained and was chilly all day. ;)
