Thanks Pat, I will pass that along to her. Headed to the cabin this morning for about a week I think. Hope to have some pictures and stories when I return. Hope yall have a good one also. Going to be sad thinking about Gary but can't think of a better place than at the cabin or in the woods to clear my mind. :(  Life is tough sometimes but still Good.

Hey, Pappy, your pics are gone.  [deleted by admin]

Glad you're still having a good time, anyway.  :)

edit:  Nevermind; they're back.  This forum gets kind of weird sometimes...

I am back today. Sure have missed posting here. Security protocols have kept me away. I don't even know what that means.

Home finely, had fun but glad to be home, always good to get back home. It was a great 10 days or so, no deer for me but done a lot of tracking for others/hunting/skinning and meat processing and shop work. Few pictures of the fun and projects. A good friend gifted me a couple of Elk hides, I gave one to Jesse and he went right to work on it, I was limited on time so i put mine in the freezer for a late project. I also had 3 file knife projects going over the week.

Got a nice box of supplies for the shop I traded for, that should keep us in string material for a while, ;) :) as I said I had 3 knife projects going all at once just in different stages, while waiting on one thing I would work on something else on the others. I like ti stay busy and hate waiting on glue and sealer to dry our cooking a blade. :)

Jesse and Will went on a mushroom hunt, not sure what they are but the say they are good. ??? :-\ Then opening weekend, we had a big feed Saturday and Sunday night, in between checking in deer. Had venison BarBQ and venison chili. Then awards given Sunday night at 9pm sharp. We checked in 16 deer, 11 traditional and selfbow kills and 5 compound, now that is cool !!!!  ;)

The cooler filling up. Margaret Ann and Bodhi came to visit mid day Saturday, they got a kick out of all the deer.  :)

Michael/Kevin and Goober won Trad. Team of the year and Goober won over all, good job guys. :) Had a couple hit late Sunday evening ,and kind of questionable shots so Sister and I tracked deer most of the morning Monday, she done a great job and made the job easy. Big A 's 8 point Sister found slick and a ribbon. :)

Then after BigA's deer was found we went to help Tommy's grand son, it was a little tougher to find we we got it done, ;) very nice 10 point 160 lbs. The cooler really filling up now. ;) :)Monday evening I caped /skinned and boned Tommy's grand son's 10 point and 2 more deer that had been given to me, Tuesday I skinned and bones 2 more given t me, not sure why folks don't want their deer after they kill them ??? :-\  but I am always up for fresh venison, made for a long 2 days that's for sure. :)

Had a good friend bring me a big bag of Turkey feathers he has save from last year, good supply that should last a while. Sister and Sally love this time of year, deer legs hid ever where. :)

I managed to flesh and rack 1 hide and saved 7 or 8 brains and also done some knife work in between, it was hot all week so didn't hunt much in the evenings, just worked in the shop mostly.  :)
