I think we've been used.  Not sure how I feel about it.   ???  I can't post the link, but just add dot com to GI bow (alloneword).

With red oak, I bet you steamed or boiled. Great bow. Who cares fake, painted, or real skin, it,s all in the art. If it works, shoots, and hunts, that is all that matters.

I have to say, that's an awesome bow.

Looks awesome start to finish. If I can figure out how you did the snakeskin, i'm going to steal your idea for my bow.

Just out of curiosity, 11 Bravo at all?

74D, huh? sounds like a gas. ( ......thank you, I'll be here all week..)

I did the reserve thing for a spell in my youth, 3 years 11 bravo, 3 years 13 foxtrot (Fist team artillery spotter)

Now, when do we get to find out how you did your snake skin?

I was doing a search a while back and I came across several listings for snake skin decals on a clear backing, but now that I'm trying to find them again, I can't. grr.

I know I said it before, but gorgeous bow.

One more guess and only because I just thought of this after watching one of my snakes shed...is it a shed skin?
