Obsidian blade, coyote jaw knife and..........

Another pine tree ;D

 The obsidian blade is from a chunk that Stickbender gave me.  That stuff takes a little getting used to.
 
The coyote knife blade is a little piece of low grade flint river. It was just the opposite of the obsidian.  You gotta knock the snot out of it!  I like the lower grade flint river though.  It has nice colors and is tough enough to make a good knife.

 The pine tree was like baby bear soup...juuust right.   It's a piece of Dover chert that Jesse gave me and is my favorite point yet.

 I soaked that jaw in strong coffee for 3 days to give it that color.  How's it look?

     Dang boy, them's some nice'uns! :o  Yeah, the Obsidian, takes a lot less bop to flake off.  Some of it can just be plain brittle.  I have had pieces from the same big chunk, that will behave differently.
