backing board bows?

I've been to Jawgs site, very informative.
I am winting to back a red oak bb with rawhide. Goin to try the pet store chew idea. Would like to the best process to work with the rawhide. I will be using titebond II when I get to that stage. This is only my 2nd attempt. As yall know my first one blew up on me. :( >:D :(

hey there.  what weight are you shooting for on your bow?  mines about 43 at 27.  not a sound from it.  you should be fine if you have a great board and tiller it good. 

but, if you still wanna try it, ill let you know how my process goes.  ive got two 9 inch bones from walmart to back another bow im working on.  ill be using titebond ii as well.

I want 50-55# at 27-28". Yes, I want to know your process! I'm shooting for 63-64" NTN. I don't want to blow up another one.
You know, just get one made, then if i snap the next three or four or seven, well, so be it.
Give me your ideas...

 The first board bow I did, I used jawgs site and recomendation to use burlap and TBII . It turned out very nice If I rember, w/o going to look at it, it was 47 @27 70 n2n and pyramid style. It took less than an inch of set. It;s on the wall since it was my first bow, but it is a shooter with very little cast.

ive had great luck using cotton cloth with tbIII glue
i use a camo pattern cloth,i get 50-55 lbs no problem with a hick board

What do you mean by "size the bow"? Is that measuring the bow, or a term for some kind of preparation before gluing?

It may be common knowledge to most, but i'm learnin everyday..
Again thanks for the answer, and who knows, in a couple of DECADES I just might make one fine bowyer. ;D
