I'm in Utah, but at the other end of the state.  ;D I don't know about all of the clubs up there, but the national flight shoot competition is out to the salt flats in September.
Everything happens for a reason, sometimes the reason is you made a bad decision.

I live in the Santaquin area. I'm about 30 minutes south of Provo, just over the county line in Juab county - small town called Rocky Ridge.
You're welcome to email or message me about getting together for an hour or two to chat, shoot, etc. There are a few of us who have made bows here. Actually, there are about 30 of us who have, but only a few of us continue to do so.
I'd love to see your pictures when you get them done.

I am in Provo right now, working on my first bow. I just ordered some materials to build a string but if this first one works out I would be more than happy to get together

Ok so I live in an apartment in Provo so I don't have a lot of resources but I managed to put together this red oak board bow. I was a little hasty and kept on tillering away before I had a scale to check it, and it came out at 25# at 28'' draw. I found some fantastic rose shoots nearby me and cut those down a few days ago and now I am straightening them as they dry, but I am still trying to figure out the best place to get some turkey feathers without actually going online and buying them. As you can tell from the picture the bottom limb has some prop twist in it and I'm not sure what to do about that, I appreciate any feed back and I would love to get together to see what you guys are working on.

that's as good as a lot of first efforts I have seen.  sometimes you can remove prop twist with a heat gun, but for a D bow like that a lot of people don't worry about it.  if you really want to learn post the pics in the bows section and the experts will help you out.  I want to see your arrows when you finish too

Jeff is in American fork or Pleasant grove. I'm in sandy.  Tyke is also in Sandy, but he's hooked on making knives.
