Bobcat pelt for bow wood?
« on: March 31, 2024, 07:21:09 pm »
Hello!

I wanted to see about trading this bobcat pelt. I snared it in North Arkansas (no ring on the pelt), and shipped it to a professional tanner to have it finished. There are no holes in the skin, and the pelt is 34” long from the nose to the base of the tail. It has just been hanging on the wall collecting dust, and I would like to see if I could possibly trade it for some bow wood of any respectable kind.

I might have a nice piece of osage for ya. Aged a couple years, taken down to one clean growth ring.

Talk to me about whatcha wanna do? Stiff handled, bendy handle?

I saw your earlier post with the other attempt. I'm with the brothers saying you may very well be scraping away those cracks on the recurves.
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.
