"Pappy" Gives Us the Details:
Well I am finely done,The bow turned out 60in. n-n 53@26.It is 1 5/8 to mid. limb tappered to
3/8 at tips.It has a layer of deer rawhide covered with Parrie rattlers and 7 coats of Tru oil rubbed on.It has cow horn tips,This was my first attempt at that. They turned ou OK.I turned up the last 6 in. of the tip just to give it a little more spunk. It is braced at 5 1/2 in.It was made from Osage cut in Dec.05 I split the belly off witch is what it was made from in March 06 and sealed it,  steamed it and and strightened it at that time .Then put it up untill last month.Finished it 3/6/07.Hope
yall like it.

This was an impressive bow.  Everyone had praise for it:
"Pappy, really a great looking bow from a very difficult piece of wood. It says a lot for your ability to turn out such a fine bow with all the challenges involved! I think it's definitely one of your best!" -GregB
"Pappy, its a STATE OF THE ART bow. Wonderful! "-AndrewS
"Thats one beautiful bow you made there! I like the way it just blends into the woods.Takes alot of knowledge to coax a bow out of a stave that snakey!! A pleasure!" -tpoof
"I was going to tell you how pretty the snakes looked, but then I thought no I like the tiller best, but then there is that beautiful handle wrap, but then again the snakes do look marvelous.  Well you get the point.  BTW did you work for Spalding in a past life.  That stitching is as fine as any baseball I have ever seen.  Keep inspiring us.  I have been hunting trees with nails in them. What a bow.  Even better than the 3-nail bow I think.
