Hi, im new here and just finished my first bow.  I was wondering if anyone knows where to find bow wood in MT.  If not then where is the best place to get bow wood if there is none in your environment?

Welcome Kev. I'm not familiar with Montana's trees but any good lumber yard should have oak , hickory or hard maple lumber.  Check out Jawge's website. It has everything you need to know about selecting the lumber to making the bow.   Pat

Welcome aboard. Try talking to Don (Oldbow). I think he lives in Montana, might be able to point you toward some wood or suggest what local trees will make bows.
