couple of new arrows
« on: April 16, 2007, 11:09:32 pm »
I have been dinking around with a few arrows and came up with these. Points by Oregon Trapper and bamboosa shafting bt Pat and canadian goose fletches. I cant belive how these arrows always seem to be straight shooters. Well I have lots of shafts and points so am going to try to fill up the old quiver.  Kenneth

Those are some "killer" looking arrows Kenneth.Frenchy makes some fine looking points and your arrows top it all off.

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

Nice Kenneth, I think those are some elk killing sticks.  Justin

very nice.  they capture the spirit of this forum very well, meaning to say that's what primitive should look like.

Thanks guys. they really are fun to make and shoot. What is amasing is how tollerant the cane is to  spine and point weight variations. I had one that spined a bit heavy so put a bigger point on it and one that spined a bit light so put a lighter point on that one and they both go straight to where I am looking. It takes a while to straighten the shafts but the rest goes quickly.        Kenneth

Hey Ken, those look real nice. I got some points from OT and showed Vinson. I liked the style so much I now make all my Obsidian ones like Otes. I guess copying that style is the best form of flattery I can give him. Those feathers look real nice. Hope my arrows look as good.  ;D

Great looking arrows, Kenneth. I like that style of point that OT makes, too. That's how I make almost all my hunting points (mine don't look as good as Frenchy's though.)

Oh they are too purty to shoot, just joking. Still trying for a primitive harvest, maybe it will happen this year.      Kenneth
