Couple of new ones
« on: October 11, 2010, 04:35:27 pm »
I took off early from work today and the weather is nice for a change, so I went to the gravel pit and banged these two out. I tried every angle but could not get that knot out of the center of the little Bull Tongue Simpson, so rather than break it, I left it.

I like em. I am gonna try to get something knocked out of what you sent this weekend.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intentions of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body. But rather to slide in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW WHAT A RIDE!!

Thanks, Pappy, Ron and Bob. Roger this weather does make it nicer, now I just wish the mosquitos would take a break. It's getting cooler this weekend, too.

The rock is Coastal Plains and Flint from Kentucky.

Wayne I haven't had time and it's been too hot to play with wood. I might be home this weekend, don't know yet.

 Thanks Jesse.
Steve, yes, they were mostly mounted on foreshafts, my guess. Most of them were around 3 to 4" long.
