Thanksgiving Hunt
« on: November 25, 2010, 11:51:44 pm »
Went on a Thanksgiving afternoon hunt with 3 friends. Deer everywhere in the snow (Closed) Rooster pheasants and cottontails were plentiful, got many of both and many good laughs. Took me back to hunts with my family in south Carolina in the 70's. Grandpa,Dad,Uncles and Cousins. We'd bring back the game, eat dinner, take a nap on the floor, then go clean all the game. Coons , squirrels, rabbits, quail, One year a 100 lb. pig, Another year a deer.  Everyone would have to sit and tell his story to Great Uncle Luke, He was too old and fragile for the hunt, but sharp as a tack and knew every big tree and creek in the river bottoms we hunted. Never see them times again but they are sweet and precious memory.   Hope all had a good day.  Frank
