Holy Crap! That is a big one. Congratulations and like Jesse said, glad you stayed on him. I don't know how many times I've heard of people not even trying to find one with a poor hit.

Wow, congratulations on a beautiful buck and for getting him the right way and with a beautiful bow. I know what you are feeling about making a marginal shot, I have never made a perfect shot on big game. Congratyulations also for the recovery and staying with it.      Kenneth

I think if you put in all you can into the recovery it becomes justified in the end.  Whether you belive in a deity or not in some sort of code if you make a bad shot but you work as hard as you can to find it, I think it all balances out in the end. Nice deer and congratulations

Awesome Buck...and congrats on being controlled and persistent on retrieving Him...most would have either spooked Him into the next County...or tried for a hour or two..and then went about their business...and wasted a magnificent creature like this...makes me proud to know that you were honorable enough to follow through to the End...be Proud...this was an experience that You will remember forever.

Congrats on the beautiful harvest! everyone should read your story on the patience and level-headed approach to tracking this monster.  I think a lot of us may have seen those horns and pushed him too hard.

Congratulations, that's an outstanding buck taken with a great bow.  You had a tough track and played it just right.  Big bucks are tough.  However, IMO you did not cause that deer to suffer.  You did give it a belly ache and it instinctively reacted by going to cover and bedding.  When jumped it did the same thing again.  It then weakened and died.  I firmly believe no suffering was involved, only discomfort which deer accept as part of life.  You did great.
