a new one

well i have been working on this bow off and on  during bow season this year
now bow season is almost finished and so is this bow
its a nice little hickory bow
63" ntn,1.75" wide at the fades up to the last twelve inches then tapers to .25" at the string grooves
it pulls 54# @ 27"
it still needs to be shot in and have the tips finished up and some of my fav finish applied,tung oil
this might be next seasons spring turkey bow or i might find a better home for it(undecided as of yet)
any hoo hers a couple of pics for ya'll to look at

Just got to ove those hickory bows with half the cambium left on. Good looking bow and good luck with those turkeys, but yep we need more pics.     Kennerh

when i get it completed,i will post a full draw photo(but not for BOM)
cant promise it will be this year yet either
i still have 9 days of bow hunting season left
and REALY would like to shoot my first deer this year(by first i mean first of the year and ever )

Now that's a good, durable hunting bow. All it needs is a bit of turkey blood on it to really set it off!  8)

lookin at this hickory bow made me miss my first bow .  my first trad bow was a 66" hickory selfbow with rawhide backing, any how you got a nice lookin bow there sailor, cant wait to see it finished. ruddy

i promise once i finish deer hunting i will get it finished and post updated pics
this may happen sooner than i planned,if this damn snow keeps up
im already walking thru knee to mid thigh deep snow for .75 miles to get to my hunting spot
they are talking another 3-6" for tonight  :-\ >:(
