 I tryed to start a new topic with a pic and got a message informing me that the file is too big.   What am i doing wrong?

Your pics need to be no more than 640x480 and 200mb.   If you have access to photobucket you can download them there, preset the setting on photobucket to 640x480 and every pic you download will automatically be preset. Then just cut and paste from photobucket to PA.
