had to try it !!!

heres one i finished today it is hickory backed vertical laminations of hard maple and ipe in a molle style.bow is 60 inches tip to tip and 1 1/2 at fades to 1 inch at lever fades backed with mojave rattlesnake skins from NTD. 50 lbs at 28 ,full draw will be tomorrow when the skins dry. hope yall enjoy

Nice work Ken75!! I've been pondering the idea of vertical lams myself. Looks like it works just fine. I just discovered my local menards now has hickory boards in stock, picked up two today. I think I'll try something with those. There's been a lot of those molle style bows on lately. Maybe I'll give one a try too. Thanks for the inspiration!

Nicely put together!  How wide is your ipe strip?  Great thinking Ken - the skins look great also.

Yep, that has been tried on another forum .started out to stiffen handle area and progressed from there.its along the lines of I beam construction. Looks good too.

Looks good Ken,the skins really look good,wasn't sure how they would look on that type bow,

Vertical lams-there's something to ponder and frees up a lot of wood. Let's see how it shoots please!
