Paul, was that the same stuff you sent me? Dang that stuff is tough!!!! I still have not been able to make anything from it. Heat treating I bet will help but. Dang thats tough stuff!!! I think I really apreciate obsidian now. My 1/2" thick copper rod looks like its been torn apart after trying to spall that stuff.

Eddie the video will be cool. Last time I did one I was shown scampering up a tree,  :-[ avoiding some mean looking Black Russian Boars. Yea, yea, yea, It was 30 years ago when I was a person lighter.  ;D  Damn, I didn't know I could climb a tree that fast.

P.S. Beautiful "stuff" Eddie. Someday???????

Yeah, Eddie. bout all I've seen of the hogs around here is their tails dissapearing into the brush, I guess if the chips were down and they were cornered the story might change.

Hey D, sorry - haven't been checking the ole laptop very often. Yep that's the same stuff......did I mention it's tough?  ;D. Your right of course, if you heat treat it'll help, but if your'e trying to spall it out with a half inch rod you may go insane ;D. I use a copper hammer I made, and have solid copper boppers from 1 1/2" on down. Spall em first then treat, should help. If you need more victims let me know.

Ha, I actually read somewhere that a victim is a person who heats the rock and drips water on it to pop a flake off. Don't try that unless you just want to see a good pop, and ruin your rock. :)
