S.W. Ohio Anyone ???
« on: February 04, 2011, 02:13:33 am »
I'm near Xenia and looking for some fellow primitive enthusiasts to hang around with as I'm interested in making my own bows.   I have a couple bow woods I think will make really good bows.  There aren't any traditional shops around anymore.  I guess I'm a dying breed, but, I still have the love of traditional archery surging thru my veins !!!  Horserod

I'm in Fairborn and got back into traditional archery a few months ago from compounds.  Lately I've been practicing with the thumbring and Asian style archery.

Want to build my own horn belly long bow some day with gemsbuck, osage and bamboo backing.

Just north of Cincinnati here.  You guyes need to go down to Pappy's in April for the Tennesse classic.  If you dont have the bug now you will catch it there for sure.   As far as clubs I dont know of any that are traditional only anywhere around here.
I call a lot of people brother, but only count a few as family.
