finished tuomi recurve "sleepy warrior"

ok so here you go. dimensions are 44" long NTN and draws 42#@21"
the nocks have too much mass, but because Tuomi (european bird cherry) (prunus padus) is somewhat soft wood (and this one has been steamed) I decided to leave some extra on them. The writing is with old viking runes. It is written in finnish and says "unelias soturi" and in english "sleepy warrior" I named her that, because my friend that shall be the new owner of it, is always sleepy when making bows  :D. the lower limb simply says "jussille", "to jussi". The bow shoots harder and faster than I would have imagined for only 42#. the hole in the lower limb scared me, but it seemed to be harmless.
enjoy!

That is a nice bow.  I love the artwork, and the inscription is a cool idea.  Justin

Great recurve.  A little scary cranking back such a short bow? Got you bookmarked for May Self Bow of the Month

Rock and roll. I always like seeing your work. And Viking runes are near to my heart. They have a kind of power to them I can't put my finger on.

Nice job on the artwork, as well.

That is as cool as It gets! Tips, tiller, handle, the runes, curves and especially the" Maiden" t-shirt, love it all. Bruce Dickinson would be "Runnin to the hills" If he saw that awesome bow.LOL! Sorry about the inside joke. ;)
