Weekends Relaxation
« on: February 07, 2011, 05:23:56 pm »
These are some I made up this weekend. The fletches are some I traded Chalie for(Cljefferson). Thanks Charlie. They are the first that I actually spined and weight matched . They spined from #48-#54 and weighed with-in 8 grains of each other. I still have to cut the nocks and sinew that part, then shoot them. hope the pics work.

Nice!  Do I see spiral-type wrapping on the fletching?  Very well done!  :)

Forgot to mention they are made from some of the Hill Cane I've been harvesting.

Those look great...you do some very nice work.  I am very envious of all you folks who have local access to Cane.  Appears like your weekend time was very well spent.

Nice arrows!  What did you use for the spiral wraps?

Thanks guys. I like making them about as much as making bows. Cljefferson makes some great fletches.

Jack....Yup they sure are ;)

Cherolee... The thread is an A size that I used from when I was building custom rods.

Thanks Rich...You have some of those shafts.  ;)  ;D

Thanks Wildman :)

Very nice cane arrows. I love the look of bananna cut fletching but they are noisy to me and I don't know why they should be. ??? ...but they look cool!  8)
