"Buck Crossing" painting
« on: February 12, 2011, 12:19:00 am »
Thought you all might enjoy this picture of my latest painting.  It is called "Buck Crossing" and  it has a "primitive archer" in the background.  I donated this painting to our North Georgia Traditional Archery Club banquet and a sweet little girl named Catherine won it in a raffle.  She is in the second picture.  Hope you enjoy it.  It is oil on canvas.  Thanks, Dan

Nice work.  I love seeing the variety of other talents of P.A. members, other than just building bows (not that I don't love seeing new bows!!)

Thanks for sharing that with us!

Nice oil painting Dan. You are quite the artist and captured the moment for sure.  8)

I'm going to move this to "Around the Campfire".

Very Nice Dan. I have always admired those that could put an image from the mind on canvas. My mom was gifted that way. I guess my creative flair has been restricted to poetry and bowmaking.   Danny

Thanks, everyone.  It means a great deal to me that you like the painting.  Pat, I am sorry that I put it on "bows" first, but we don't have a category called "Anything Else" any more, so I know to go to campfire from now on.  Good job as moderator here.

Wonderful painting!
I feel fortunate to have seen it in person. Although, not fortunate enough for my ticket to have
been drawn from the sack.  ;D

It was easy to see how very proud Catherine, and her mother, sister and daddy Jason,
were to take this home. I was proud for them.
You did real good Mr. Dan!
