dacite sticker
« on: February 14, 2011, 08:41:31 pm »
Here's a little blade I came up with today. Peice of dacite I got from Mr. Ratzat. Got plenty of spalls off of that one for points. Man, I'm liking that dacite :).

Holy crap!!  Is that all pressure flaking?  What did the preform look like?  Amazing.  :)

Outstanding.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intentions of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body. But rather to slide in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW WHAT A RIDE!!

Thanks fellers! Tell: I got that box of obs today and already have it all spalled out - ready to work.. Patrick: your seeing all pressure work on the finished blade but I had a nice percussion piece going on with some steps I had to take out and some partially remain. I tell ya, this dacite will step and stack faster than anything :) :). I did'nt get any pictures of the bi-face but this rock is my next victim as soon as I find one of them round-tuits :).
