Those last ones obviously need finishing but are coming along.  I hope to do some trading while at the Classic.

See you all soon.

I sure like your work.  Sure would like to swap you something for a knife.  See ya later this week and we'll see what we can do.   :)

Thanks Jon.  That old rusted saw blade makes some pretty character in the blades.  I just happen to find it and put it to good use.  I am ready to leave right now.  I to look forward to catching up.  My friends don't understand how I can go to the Classic by my self every year.  They just have not met you guys or they would understand perfectly.

2 Days.

From all of Pappy's pictures, it looks like you guys are making some really nice knives up there.  I can't wait to look at all of the new stuff.

Thank you.  The hook or finger slot really feels good with the knife in the hand.  I saw a guy that made one with a deep curve like that and have make them pretty much like that since.

The 0913 has a spalted maple handle.  Those black lines make for a very interesting design and great contrast with the old rusted out saw blade.

I have glued up another glued up with some really pretty maple and one that looks like a fish head on the end.  It had walnut.  I can't wait to see how it looks when I get it sanded.  I may have to bring them with me to the Classic to work on.

Thanks agian.

Hi Jon, I got one of your blades and it's one of my favorites. Like that pitted look...

I've been working on some knifes myself for trading...see you in a few days! Hope to introduce you to my girlfriend who is a 1st grade teacher. I've told her about my teacher friend from Georgia.  :)

I am very happy for you and look forward to meeting her.

I too like that pitted look.  The metal is pretty hard.

I will be pulling out tomorrow after school.  It can't get here quickly enough.  The weather looks pretty bad up through Wednesday but I don't care.

Do you think you will be making it down and during the week or will it be the weekend?

Jon, I plan on going down in the evenings...starting this evening. Also I'll be on vacation Thursday and Friday and will be down at the club, just going home in the evenings to get some much needed sleep I'm sure. ;)
