some killers for the fall

finally had some time to myself so i made these. granted it was 4:30 this morning so they dont look great. witch hazel shafts. the white and tan points i didnt make . at 25 yards i had to refletch two of them after shooting 2 rounds cause i shot the fletching off. roughly 600 gr. peace

Dang they look good to me. Maybe I should do more of my arrows at 4:30 in the morning.  I like the way you wrapped the sinew so far up the shaft from the point.  Justin

Cool arrows Jamie. I can already imagine blood on the all. ;)    How do you like witch hazel? I have lots of it on my property but have only thought of trying it. ???   Pat

thanks guys. i did a penetration test with em today on a piece of thick cow rawhide i have. give ya one guess which one went deepest. justin i always wrap em good. had one open up on a coon a while back and it lost a lot of penetration. peace

the top one penetrated the deepest. Just a guess.

thanks cowboy now only if i had a field of flint potatoes. lol . i have a really nice old set of long shears i use to cut the fletchings.

  Cowboy,I came up with a little trick for cutting fletching straight.I made a cardboard blank of the fletching I want.Then just hold it beside the feather and cut with the shears along the straight edge.works good.

they definetly arent bad pat. ive straightened several times since i cut them over the winter and they seem to be holding. plus they have good weight. only material id never use again is cherry. hazel yes cherry no
