A heck of a guy
« on: July 26, 2011, 03:20:30 am »
I met matt (bownut) in Atl this weekend to swap some staves around and let me tell you this guy is a class act.  I gave him 2-3 of the twistiest pieces of osage east of the mississippi, and he gave me a beautifully straight piece of hickory that will easily make two staves, a nice set of longhorn horns for the grill of my truck, and his wife fed me lasagna.  He even took some time to give me some knapping pointers, let me shoot some of his awesome bows.   I feel like i took advantage of him ;D.

Seriously matt thanks for having me over, it made my saturday.
I have nothing witty to say.......

I'll second that. I did a mulberry billet - snake skin swap with Matt and it was great. He seemed a good, honest guy to me and now I know my hunch to be true!
