Haven't hunted as much as I usually do but enough that I was beginning to think it wasn't going to happen,I haven't been seeing many deer. Still ant seen many but 1 is enough.

I killed this one last evening 124 lb. 8 point 14 1/2 inch spread.Jesse and Woody helped me track. I used a beauty of a little Osage bow Shannon[Sawfiler] gave me named Pappy ,also a home made Hickory arrow,turkey feathers and a home made trade point. It done a nice job,he ran about 150 yards.

Almost forgot,it was about a 4 yard shot.

That's a good one, Pappy, Congratulations. One like that is a nice one to see when you ain't seeing any. I could use one of those 4 yard shots, too, be nice to get my first one.

Heck yea! Only thing that could have made that any better would be him as a 7 pointer! If I killed that deer, I'd put him on the wall!!!

Thanks guys, OK Justin, Eddie maybe you will this coming week.

Shannon thanks I am just going to tan his hide and do a European mount on the rack and of course eat the rest.

One advantage to hunting with fairly light weight selfbows and heavy arrows and big points is I hardly ever punch out the other side, so I only have one hole in my hide.

Disadvantage is harder to track .

KC I hunt from lock ons most of the time.
