1946 flight arrow range box

hey guys i have a friend named Peggy.she is in her nineties.she is also a champion flight shooter in the fourties and fifties.she gifted me her field kit and bows.some of the arrows where made by E Bud Pierson who is in the archery hall of fame.she also gifted me seven bows.i thought that some of you would like to take a look.

I have always thought one of those would be cool to take gear in to shoots. Congrats! that is a very generious gift.

It's very interesting to see what equipment looked like in the 40's.  Cool bit of archery history!

thanks guys.one set of arrows are footed cedar.the other two sets are aluminum.very small diameter.i didn't know they used aluminum arrows in the fourties and fifties.what is cool,E Bud pierson made one set of aluminums.he owned Sultan bow company in cincy Ohio.he invented uni-directional fiberglass for bow backing.he is also in the archery hall of fame and a friend of Fred Bear.he also gifted her one of his bows which i now own.i also got a bow gifted to her by Bill Folberth.he is the guy who had the first patent on the center shot bow and vacuum windshield wipers.i will try to post some bow pics as soon as i can.i am tring to get ready for the classic.leaving friday.
