havent done any serious knapping in  months. every time i started it felt un-natural. finally started to click with these pieces. stringman that basalt is just a real grainy dacite. it knaps well as long as you hit it. it has some wierd tendencies, like its easy to stack, and sometimes when the flake releases you think nothing happened, then it just falls off like the grain keeps it together. thanks guys. had a slow day today so i played some more and its definitely getting natural again

Exellent work!!  I really like the look of that onandaga,  I like the way the colors are.
