This was really cool..I was texting Will about Iowa hunting and he replied to me from his stand that he just hit a doe... That was fun!!! Congrats buddy that was fun getting that picture. I had 9 come through last night at 20 yards no real good shot so maybe tonight.

 Closing out your season by taking a deer with a fine newly made bow, thats good living . The bow looks to be a beauty and no doubt deadly as well. Congrats Will , nice going all around.

Nice work Will!  Looks like that beautiful little 40 pounder and good arrow placement will put plenty of blood on the ground.

Excellent!  I know what you mean about things coming full circle...  Early in the season I got to take a doe that was feeding on white oak acorns with a white oak bow - sort of rings your tuning fork ;)....  Taking a deer with a bow you made with your own hands and putting an arrow that you built right where it needs to go - that's what it's all about.  Congratulations.
