Linen backing

Hi all,

I was wondering how long you should let a linen backing dry before you bend the bow. Is 24 hrs. sufficient?

24 hours should be plenty. I've only done two and I waited longer simply because I wasn't in a hurry, but I don't think I needed to. I'm sure someone will speak up who can say so with certainty.

I go 48 or longer as the wood tends to draw moisture witch=set ;)

Thanks, I suppose that makes sense that the wood would absorb the moisture. I guess I'll just have to wait.  :)

You can always use a glue that doesn't contain moisture.

The first question should have been 'what glue did you use?'  >:D
Titebond/hide glue or similar 2 days should be plenty.
