"Jane,Good Ol' Plain Jane'
« on: October 26, 2007, 07:01:33 pm »
That's what I named this one.I just wanted a simple Osage hunting bow.And It will bury an arrow deep in the target. This was made from some of that Tennessee Osage out of Pappy's stock. It has a nice dark orange color with some little curves and a few dips.I put some zebra wood tips onthe 1/4" nocks. The fades started at 1 1/2".It is also 63" N to N.She is still a petit girl ,60# @ 28".And it really loves Art Butner's cane arrows.

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

That's a mighty fine looking bow. With a profile like that she'll get the job done - and then some.

Super nice! I don't know if I have ever seen Osage that dark, sure is pretty. Your full draw and unbraced pic are second to none. No wonder it burys an arrow deep in the target!

Plain Jane doesn't look plain to me - very nice !

...and I second the comment on the color of the osage - I don't think I have ever seen one with quite so dark a reddish-orange color to it either.

really nice looking bow !

Looks great man!! 63" N/N and still pulling it @ 28"? so that's what you were trying to tell me, and with no string follow - I'll get there one day :).

Suddenly some amazing bows are showing up, and this one is. The zebra wood looks great. It looks great all the way around.
