I think this is another example of why osage is such a good bow wood!

This is an old topic but on a bow like this, WHO CARES?!!! You know, this bow didnt get the attention it deserves first go around anyway. Not to mention I hadnt seen you round the message boards lately. Hope all is well. I was searching osage war bows and this came up on top.... for good reason. I am considering making one. Has this bow survived so far?

That is a really beautiful bow. I love the sapwood on the back, a rare thing for an osage bow.  When that heartwood turns a deep amber the contrast is going to be stellar.  I've never made an english style bow, but if I do it will probably be osage, and I picture it looking just like yours.  Great job dude.

What a bow.Kuddos to ya.I'm gonna make one out of a red cedar stave edge grain backed with maple one of these days. Not a man killer like that one though,so it would go in the other bow section.Maybe 50# to 60# at best but the same length.Would probably need pointers on tiller.Getting everything to work enough and not take set in the wrong places.
