I gotta come clean(fg bow)
« on: May 11, 2013, 03:50:55 pm »
I was at a local flea market today and met a guy selling some of his custom fiberglass bows. This guy has been making custom glass bows for years on a small scale..We got to talking and I brought some of my selfbows to show off..And long story short he invited me to stop by his shop and build a glass bow...I accepted..( shocked I know) I just got back picking out riser wood, lams and glass.. I'm stopping by later and gluin her up....Man I feel kinda guilty..But at least its not a 'assembly line' bow...

No problem, Bill. Many of us own and/ or have made glass bows. Like Newindian said, invite him to your shop to see what you do.

I'm gonna take a close look through Bingham's products, see if I can't come up with something "interesting".  Never hurts to dabble in different things and expand our abilities :)

Make sure you post pic's of the finished bow.

I don't know... nothing really wrong with a nice FG bow. I have a custom made Chek-Mate Crusader T/D longbow. It's a beauty, and I even hunt with it on occasion.

I like Primitive Bows & fg Traditional Longbows and Recurves. I shoot 'Em all, and it's a lot of FUN - pure and simple. Bob
