Ya the squirrel's,

Not sure,of course I will keep the skull and eatable meat,not sure on the hide,need to kill one first then I will figure that out.

Weighted my arrows complete last evening and they are between 825 and 900
grains total,not sure what a glass arrow weighs,I can add a brass rod down the center if yall think I need more weight $:-\$

A gator skin belt would be awesome.

Do I not remember someone, maybe G from Warpath, make and post a gator skin backed bow - or was it gator skin bow handle? I remember it looked real cool but thinking it must add considerable weight.

Pappy, that weight should be fine. My buddy Gene got his last year with a plain 2117 aluminum arrow with a zwickey broadhead, 55# bow. A pass thru shot.

Russ, the skin is too thick to use for backing in my opinion. I've posted a few with the belly hide for a handle wrap.

I'd think that gator hide would make a nice quiver. Good luck fellas! I hope to go on a gator hunt myself someday. I'm thinking when my sons old enough, it would be an awesome hunt to take him on. Josh

Pappy, those look great, I kinda agree that those broad heads might be a little better for penetration, if they were a little narrower. Just listen to Eddie, and you will be fine. Avoid shooting the back between the skin ridges, as they have boney plates, called "Scoots", or "Buckles". Just stay in the boat. Don't want to hear about how you fell in, and then looked like a coot taking off across the water.

Hmmm, gator hide for squirrel bait...... now there is a trade item in the making. Good luck! And definitely take pictures. Don't worry about the beer, a six pack will float. Just be careful picking it out of the water....

You will have fun. And don't forget the therma cell! Oh, and your rain coat!
