TBIII removal

I have an osage bow I'm working on now and am nearing completion.  When I recieved the stave, it was covered in tbIII to prevent checking. I decided to leave the sapwood on because I like its looks. How to I get the glue off? Scraping it is a pita.

Are the rings violated ? If so your gonna have to chase a ring Anyways and the glue won't be a big deal by the way I like the idea of leaving the sap wood on I'd do sap wood back heartwood belly seems like everyone's afraid to use sapwood Osage for what ever reason. the sap wood works good too, I've used the sapwood once worked fine

Actually the back is fine and the bow is tillered out to 39@28. Darn that last pound....

Have you tried heating the TBIII. It will degrade at 150deg so it should soften enough to remove it with the use of a heatgun.  Other than that scraping or sanding would be the other option.
