some Tower rocks
« on: September 03, 2013, 07:39:02 pm »
and others. been trying to get back into the swing of things here knapping behind the trailer evenings after work in San Angelo. Found some nice rock here in the hills. Could use a little heat but does ok raw.
Don's stone is the three large ones not notched in first pic. Others are from here. Happy  knappin  :).

Thanks guys. Yes the rock is thick in certain places. One road cut there's balls of flint sticking out about twelve feet up but I can't get it :(.  And yes Bob there's cholla everywhere too, mesquite and not much else.

Paul:  Some really fine looking points!  Looks like Hawk Huston and I will be going down to Texas in Oct. to a Pow Wow at Rattlin Randy's to hunt hogs, deer, and turkeys!  Its funny that people want to come here to hunt elk and I want to go to texas to hunt hogs!  How is your daughter doing?  Joe
