Timber Biter Backed Osage Recurve
« on: October 31, 2013, 06:47:18 pm »
I made up a real fancy bow this month. It's a Timber Rattler backed Osage recurve. As the crow flies, it's 64" tip to tip and 52# @ 28". The tips are Buffalo horn overlaid over Black Walnut. Chocolate deer skin grip and contoured handle shape.  It's a real fine shooter!  I steamed the tips and put them in a form for those that wanted to know. I am heading out of town for a few days hunting, but I will check comments and reply to any questions when I return in a few days. Thanks for looking! - Ryan

sweet work Ryan, one can always recognize one of your bows. always loved the way you stitch the leather grip to the arrow pass leather.

Your recurves are always one of a kind! Always outstanding.
"The way of heaven is like the bending of a bow-
the upper part is pressed down,
the lower part is raised up,
the part that has too much is reduced,
the part that has too little is increased."

Can't really improve much on perfection, Ryan. What are you going to move on to ,now that you've mastered  this?
