A Hickory Christmas Present
« on: January 13, 2015, 06:11:22 pm »
Here is a hickory bow I made for my brother as a gift this year. Its 64" long and about 50-52#@26". The tip and handle overlays are from a piece of action wood I obtained at pappys last summer at the Tenn Classic. I put a nice temper on the belly and its holding about 3/4" reflex. I told my brother I might be stealing this one back for hunting season this year...

Nice finish Joe. I never made a bow with a straight taper like this one...but I will. Might be the sweetest shooting selfbow I have shot yet. Fantastic job.

Not sure yet Chris, we both have to work weekends fairly often, so it depends on that.
