reflex deflex Hog Bow pics
« on: December 18, 2007, 11:32:18 pm »
My trained wild Texas Hog was kind enough to pose with it just after we killed him for dinner. 55#@28" 66" groove to groove. Made from bamboo backed Hickory with a thin center core of Ipe.  Brown leather dye to color it. man that was fun!! I cant speak for others but For me the funnest part of primitive archery is making a weapon and anticipting the hunt far before it happens. It makes the fun of hunting season last alot longer. Its an absolute kick designing, building and using your own weapon for a specific purpose.

Did the strange neighbor kid take the picture?

Real nice pig, whats the story on that?  Ground hunting, blind, distance of shot?  Cool bow too, I like the dark stripe of ipe.  Made a nice contrasting sandwich.  Looks like a R/D design?

Very cool pic. I really like that coloring on the boo back too. How are you processing your hog? I'll bet it'll be mighty tasty.Danny

Nice kill. That will feed you and your family for a while. Nicely built bow. I know you have probably made more bows than most guys on this site So we need more specs on this bow. Full draw pic?  How do you like this combo? Just a little info on the construction of the bow maybe.  Thanks
