Wifes 2nd bow, osage flatbow
« on: April 06, 2014, 10:07:35 pm »
Her second attempt ended in a yew explosion, she gave it another go, and ended up with a really nice shooting bow.
Its 59" ntn, and a hair over 35#@26. she did all the tool work, and she sure loves him. Its named after her grandpa,
thanks for looking!

That is a nice looking bow - she did good.  I too was curious as the back you have on there?  Looks cool.
Enjoy the hunt!  Mitch

That's awesome! Kudos to your wife. My wife has been making noises about making a bow. I hope she's serious.  ;D

Yes it's cherry bark on the back of the handle. Even just that amount added some weight and she had to re-tiller.

Now thats a bow to be proud of. She did a great job on that one and that cherry bark at the handle is an attractive and unique touch.
I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.
