That braced profile is really cool Pappy. Is that what they call deflex relex? I've never worked Yew  but have a really nice stave I've been saving until I felt like I could do it justice. I hope I can do it half as much as you did that one. From one osage guy to another, what can you tell me about yew that I need to know compared to what I'm used to with the gold stuff? Also. width and depth thicknesses proportionate to osage? Hope I can make to your shin dig one of these days. Danny

Thanks guys. The sap wood on this one was just right I thought and being from old school I love that I didn't have to thin and violate the back at all,it is air backed and I liked that part also. It had some natural deflex in the middle so made a perfect candidate for R/D bow. Marc/Steve It draws very smooth and seems very fast compaired to most of my bows .Yes Cody of course you can shoot it. ;) :) I do plan on hunting with it Don,got some 550 grain arrows that are shooting great out of it.dragonman I used cooking oil and dry heat to make the bends. :) Greg looking forward to seeing you and yours also,the wood was full of checks and a few knots to deal with but it seemed to work out fine.Yew is tough for sure, it works good with dry heat,the only problem I have with it, is you have to clamp very careful or it will dent very easy and bad if you really get down on it. I found that out with my first yew and took the lesson on to this one and didn't really have much trouble. :) Thanks again. :)

You nailed that one pappy. Im not much good at tillering aggressive R/D bows like that. I just cant wrap my eyes around a non circular/elliptical tiller for some reason. Ill bet that bugger is a ripper to. Yew is so light it cant help but be quick off the gun! Bring her up to Elm Hall so I can fling a few from it. Bring Will with you to!

Thanks,you know I will have it there. :)I am the same and the reason I ask for so much help as I was tillering it, Many thanks for that,the flatness they seem to have is the mid to outer limbs just throws me a curve. :)

Glad to see this one posted! You guys wouldn't believe how quick this bow is! Super smooth draw as well. I think it turned out perfect! Great pics pappy, but they don't do it justice :) hope to see it get bloody come fall :)

Pearly, I wish I could. I use all my vacation time for the classic...  :laugh:
