Guava staves ready for trip down the mountain
« on: April 19, 2014, 02:34:47 pm »
Here are a couple of staves ready to make the trip back down the mountain. Three and a half miles one way, my shoulders are killing me!
Manny are you back on the big island?

Cool, that's the way to do it  :D

I actually never have been to the big island, I want to tho  ;)

Remember as soon as you have rought them out use a heat gun on the bark on the back inless you can peel it off ( happens seldom) you wanna kill any possible larvae that would turn into a borrowiing worm, i ruined many a stave by not doing that  >:( >:( >:(

Hey I have to brag on my boy a little he's 9 and shot his first pig with a bow. He is not strong enough to shoot a hunting weight longbow yet but he stalked this pig and heart shot it at 17 yards with his Xmas present wheelie thing. He calls it his sissy bow!
