anyone try a hotbox for arrows, I have a bunch of Tonkin I need to straighten and was thinking you could throw some in a hotbox and get them nice and hot, then take one out and maybe roll them straight on a flat surface , anyone try this?

I don't know if you can get them hot enough in a standard hot box.  I have heard of folks using a pizza oven but that get closer to 500deg.

Never tried a hotbox for arrows. Usually a heat gun or hold over some hot coals. Then roll straight on a flat piece of marble I've got.

I was thinking of using a floor heater for the heat source and some of that roll foil insulation it's 4 ft long and should get pretty hot

I bet you could make a coffee can forge that is supplied by a heat gun.

I use a propane torch  :o , I guess my heat gun leaves something to be desired.
