'Ellie'
« on: November 29, 2014, 12:10:56 pm »
My first self-bow, hackberry flatbow, unbacked, 68" ntn, 40# @ 28", that I made a year ago and had previously posted, meets my granddaughter, Ellie, who I named it after.  Life is good.

Life IS good.  Happy Grandpa!  And you have a lot to be happy for.  nice looking bow and a cute little kid!
Talking trees. What do trees have to talk about, hmm... except the consistency of squirrel droppings?

No wonder that second bow project stalled so quickly! Grandkids are coming over!

It's great being a grandpa for the first time,  guys.  Loving every minute of it.

Chris, you mean my third one.  Getting back on it this week now that Thanksgiving (and cooking my first turkey) is done.

They are both lovely.  As a man who makes bows, and a man with four daughters, that is some quality work, right there!

Thanks, everyone, for the nice comments.  Simson, I will.  Her mother loves to shoot whenever they come to visit, so it's bound to rub off on her little daughter, too.

I'm betting there will be more pics of Ellie and bows and arrows forthcoming.   Nice bow and a precious granddaughter.  I got to shoot a few arrows with my first granddaughter today.   Special moments for sure.
