Bighorn sheep scraps and sinew.
« on: December 15, 2014, 09:10:53 pm »
I have lots of bighorns with the top curve removed. and elk sinew 13-15". I'm looking for near perfect staves. I have lots of staves with personality already. I would also take arrow shafts, points, snake skins, fish skins.......... Maybe something else.
These horns were 30+" around the curl. Lots of horn here for handles nocks or whatever.

What kind of arrow shafts are you looking for? I have some POC and Tamarack shafts, some are tapered.

Makes for some super sharp tip overlays. Gorgeous marbled horn usually. Chuck I may take a chunk if you have any left a bit later. Im not in dire need, so take care of others first.
Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.

AJ, Yes I would love some cedar or pine shafts to make target arrows. I would accept a trade of 10 nice shafts for one of these horns. A set of horns cost me around $400, but with the top curl removed I realize 10 shafts may be fair for one.

PD, I am always making more bighorn bows and will likely always have some when your ready.
