Some macro wood pics
« on: January 19, 2015, 02:05:58 pm »
Made some nice pics of black locust and wych elm with my mobile phone.

Maybe someone wants to see :D

You can see the the earlier grown wood and the late wood pretty well, also the little "rings" within the annual rings of wytch elm are well visible.
So here are the pics of the black locust:

Absolutely beautiful!  The day the grain of the wood does not draw my eye is the day you get the shovel and the pine box out for me.
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

I loooooove cutting the ends off my locust. Looking at the rings and how they grew, the shine under the weathered exterior, the glass-like sound when you tap the end grain...

Black locust. Black locust everywhere.
Mollegabets all day long.
Might as well make them short, save some wood to keep warm.
