150lb Italian Yew bow

Just got round to finishing this off. The stave is like holding an iron bar, even my metal maker stamp could hardly make an impression. Came from a very small tree, not overly clean piece of wood but that's not a problem when it's this dense.

77" 140@30"

Looks like a nice bow. Would love to see some close ups, unbraced, and full draw in hand!

Tips look nice and slim.

Thanks everyone.

No more pictures past brace I'm afraid as now it will remain unbraced right up until it is shot. I will take some close ups tomorrow though, although they wont really tell you much more about the bow. It's a really odd stave this one and and is as deep as it is wide along its entire length, almost circular. It should be on for a good distance.

I am offended that someone would post a parody of my bowmaking nickname, namely "The Tiller Killer"!!!

As for this bow, what can you say but that it is bang-dead-right-there!  Sounds like this bow is proving that density within a species is one of the most critical categories for getting highest results!  Can't wait for you to wow us with it's performance stats!  Thanks for sharing with us!

I hope to shoot it over the summer, 'hopefully'

When I do I will show the cross sections with a pin gauge as it's a really odd shape. The tree was little more than a sapling.
