I, quite literally, have no morels.  Been too dry for years.  Found them one year out of the last 14.

Sucks to be me.  Sucks bad.

Used to find plenty in WV during turkey season. Haven't found but one in NC until last Monday and I found around 20 in one area...they were good eating.

Wow I'd love to sink my teeth in some fresh morels this year, what's the secret? Is it a secret spot kinda thing, or is it all luck? I'm in eastern TN myself, near Gatlinburg.

Found 6 today...may spend some time walking tomorrow. Anyone ever noticed that north or south facing hills or banks play a role in morels growing?

I couldn't find one if you put it in my hand! Use to own some property where they were heavy. The neighbor always found them, not me. :)

I looked over my small patch of ground and 20 or 30 more acres near my neighbor, didn't find any morels. I found something that I thought was some kind of fungus, took me a while to find out what it was on the net. Turns out it is a parasite that lives on oak tree roots called "Indian Corn", conopholis americana, edible but not held in high regard, and will upset your stomach unless you cook it.

I've only seen one in my life. It was behind a big Walnut tree in Northwestern Tenn that everybody used to pee on. ::) :'(
