I figure this might be a long shot. I'm looking for a 80" ipe stave.  If anyone has any leads i thank you in advance. Name your price in trade

I can get 8 foot, inch thick, by 6ish wide ipe boards at my local mill.   I can sort thru the pile and pick grain orientation, but usually the grain is so fine that it is quite hard to see it.  I usually pick what looks best for BBIs, and although I have had my share of problems, it has never been due to the grain on ipe.

Not quite an ipe stave, though.  If you want boards, let me know.  I am sure we can work a trade out, no problem.

My wife will kill me if I cut the forty footer down in the front yard.

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

I'll keep my eyes open for something Chuck but it's pretty tough because they are always in people's front yards and such as ornamental figures.  I should grab some pictures, they've all been in full glory lately with their flowers...

GO Ahead, cut it down! I'll take a stave or two from you as well... Hell, I might even fly down to FLa. to help.

I'll be there the first part of October. I can give you a hand Eddie! Patrick
